Established in 1946, this garage is one of Houston’s oldest, originally built by Adolf and Lillie using hand-poured cement blocks and pine from their land. Their son Eugene and his wife Virginia expanded it in 1985, adding service bays and a dynamometer. Later, Sybren and Kathryn van der Pol modernized the space and strengthened its community roots. Today, Clutch Automotive proudly carries on this legacy, serving Garden Oaks, The Heights, Oak Forest, and beyond—keeping Houston families on the road with care and reliability.
